What is on the blog vs what is on the Website?

The new Blog may be a better way to communicate internally than just email. Blogs allows you to chat about anything not timely but not urgent without "pushing" to email Don hoped that this can help people record things with less intervention from a web administrator like me. Anybody can post themselves on any issue. Don and Jim E wondered if our blog would help parents and teams share in the communications workload. Also parents who want to be more involved have the opportunity to read up in the blog without being overloaded with emails.
BLOG is short for weB LOG. Here you can communicate through posts. For now the blog is all "open" so anybody can post coments easily. (Later we can add more security if the needs arise). Author with logins: please use at least one category for new posts. This way the right people can find your post easily. Please coment on what you think of our blog and website. Your feedback helps. You can also subscribe to the blog or to individual entries. For example a coach can post the game schedule for his team. Then subscribe to the enty. As players post game conflicts the coach gets an email for each new post added to the game schedule entry. A soccer mom might want to subscribe to the same entry so that when a game change is posted they get an email. The email may seem redundant but it can be read and deleted because the same information is on the blog.
If you want to post you need an author login. Authors can post text, files, pictures, videos, music anything. The rely on the blog instead of email the more people will check it out. Authors can post anything but the limit is 4 MB per file. You can even add a password to prevent outsiders people from downloading your post. Not everything is on the blog static details that announce the games and schedules etc might be on the individual team page. Be sure to start at www.ChallengersSoccer.com and try the menues there 1st. The new weBLOG where your find updates and changes etc. here anybody can post but in the interest of your time Jim still try to post static details on the club website. So Jim will still post season's schedules on the website but anybody can now post "Hot Topic" updates like substitutions to the blog directly.
We will now do less email and more blogging. Also the hot topic page will not be as hot. The BLOG is Hot!
