A  new upgrade to the blog is the ability for authors to add an simple new entry merely by sending an email to blog@endorfan.com or blog@challengersSoccer.com  Some version of what an author emails  to this address should get posted to theblog.  This option only works from authors registered email addresses.  (I set up multiple author logins and email addresses for our most prolific blog authors).

At first the category will be unAssigned and there may be some extra charactors like=20.  However, eventually an author can login and edit  to correct the category etc.   I would also suggest you send the messages in plain text.   It seams that some formatting and symbols screw up your message.  However this picture link for my name seamed to work ok.  Hnnmm?!    Anyway for what it is worth it may help coaches get their schedules etc posted on the blog with our much effort.  Just cc the blog on your email blast and pray somebody like me logs in and cleans it up later.  Once the entry is categorized it can be found from your main web entry from your team.

A word about subscriptions.  The blog is a great way to track players who are missing a game and subs.  However coaches may want to "subscribe to entry"  so that they will get an email when a kid blogs he will miss a game or sub in.

If you are using subscriptions and blog comments to manage a team poll or substitutions you should send out an email blast about the question and include a link to the blog entry in the body of the email.  The link comes from the address bar on the top of your browser and should be on it's own line.  The like will probably look something like this:
