How to request membership to a Challengers Google Group

Here is the best way to go about adding people to a google group. Note that my opinion about the best way is the least work for me. It is also the least error prone.
Direct the person to the groups website, for example:
Have them apply for membership, for example:
Finally, have someone that I know give me a heads-up via email or call up if they want to join so I know the request is coming from a trusted person and not just some marketing scam.
Once they request a membership Jim E and I get an email that allows us to easily approve thier application for memebership in that group.
